Custom reference tags for your shipping labels
Click your user icon (your initials) and select Settings. Then navigate to the References tab.

Click Create New Reference to add a custom reference tag. Your new reference will appear in the list below.
Custom references allow you to add internal tracking information to your shipping labels for organizational purposes.
Click the Edit button next to any reference to modify it. Make your changes in the dialogue box and click Save. You will see a confirmation message once the update is saved.

Click the Delete button next to any reference you wish to remove. Confirm the deletion when prompted. A success confirmation will appear.
On the Ship Page, go to Package Details and click the Add-On dropdown. Select Reference.
The reference field will populate with your custom presets as you type. You can enter a primary and secondary reference for each package group.

If you need a reference for a single shipment only, simply type directly into the Reference field without selecting a preset. This creates a one-time reference that won't be saved to your presets.
Click your user icon and go to Settings. On the General Settings page, scroll to the Default Reference section.
Select your default primary and secondary references from the dropdown. These will automatically populate the reference fields when creating new shipments.
